Based in Teesside, which is one of the UK’s biggest centres for hydrogen research and emerging industry, we are always looking for new ways to engage our students, both existing and prospective, with the new technologies.

UKSTEM’s hydrogen buggies are perfect for this. They come in a kit so the students can build them, or if time is tight, we can use them to demonstrate. The versatility is great. We are using them for a demo on an Open Day, for an activity in Summer School, to supplement lectures on BEng Energy modules, and off site for school outreach sessions. They are easy to use, fun and come with great support. I’m so glad we got them – and now we have eight staff members trained to use them.
